TRG Talk: Project Management - How to manage Project Stakeholders for Project Successline

To help grow the Project Management community we are holding a regular informal meetup every First Thursday at PJ’s Coffee in Sala. These events will discuss about Project Management and provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss specific issues and challenges they have with experienced Projects Managers in Vietnam.

This month we discuss: How to manage Project Stakeholders for Project Success

The management of a project’s “stakeholders” means that the project is explicitly described in terms of the individuals and institutions who share a stake or an interest in the project. Thus, the project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers are invariably relevant. The impact of project decisions must be considered in any rational approach to the management of a project. Management must also consider others who have an interest in the project and, by definition, are also stakeholders. These stakeholders are outside the authority of the project manager and often present serious management problems. This talk will provide you with an understanding of how to identify, plan, manage, and control project stakeholders.
