November 30th, a breakfast seminar successfully organized by BBGV gathering 20 top influential executives from various industries to discuss about the similarity and difference between Vietnamese leaders and those from other countries. At the seminar, Huy Tran – Talent Management Manager, TRG International held a brief keynote talk about the result of a transcending-border study relating to leadership and management in Vietnam, Norway, Romania and the Philippines. According to the study, there are common perceptions of effective leadership among countries while communication seems to be the area need improvement the most.

After Huy’s presentation, the panels including some big names in HR industry spent time on answering questions from attendees regarding to strengths and weaknesses of Vietnamese managers or how young leaders can be more successful. Rick Yvanovich – Founder & CEO of TRG International moderated the panel which includes Mr. Colin Blackwell (Chairman, HR Committee of Vietnam Business Forum), Ms. Tam Truong Hong (Director, Harvey Nash Vietnam), Ms. Nicola Connolly (Vice Chair, European Chamber of Commerce) and Ms. Lien Hoang (Reporter, Bloomberg BNA).
