Nguyen Hoai Thu, one of our SOP Interns, recently wrote to us about her journey. Thu's viewpoint on her experience at TRG International may be useful if you are considering an internship in the Project Management department.
"Hi! I'm Nguyen Hoai Thu, and I just finished a three-month internship as an SOP Intern at TRG International, and it was an amazing experience to kickstart my professional career.

Here is a funny story. I mistook the term "SOP" (which is short for Standard Operating Procedures) for "Sales Order Process", which is highly relevant to Logistics and Supply Chain - one of the courses I took in university.
Fortunately, I figured it out before the interview with the Human Resource team. Moreover, Mr. Nhan provided more information about the position, which helped clear up any concerns. So by the end of my interview, I could clearly understand the job and the daily responsibilities I must undertake as an SOP intern.
To help interns like me prepare for our first day, a series of Thinkific "survival" courses are available. These courses were very well made, informative, straightforward, concise, and also very easy to follow and practice.
During the internship, I was impressed by the way TRG inspired interns with its vision, core values, and company culture that is professional yet friendly and relaxed. All teams are also packed full of welcoming and supportive colleagues.
Furthermore, I appreciate the way TRG involves interns in the operations, allowing us to obtain on-the-job experiences. During my three months at TRG, I have gotten used to servers, the MS Office suite, different technical terms, and various other tools used by the SOP team. This helped me visualise how a company functions.

TRG provides us plenty of opportunities to express ourselves and meet new people through various virtual events, namely the Ice Breaking and Knowledge Sharing series.
After working as an SOP intern, I have:
- Improved my critical thinking and business communication skills
- Learned how to ask effective questions
- And how to work effectively as a team.
I want to express my gratitude to my supervisor, Ms. Vy, who has supported me during my internship. She was a little strict, but her instructions were thorough and helped me improve every day.
