Tet is the season of happiness, the time when families gather together. But in fact, not everyone can enjoy Tet fully because there are still so many lives that need help. Tet is also a difficult time in calling for blood donation for patients. According to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, during Lunar New Year, the country needs at least 125,000 units of blood for treatment of diseases. However, this is the time when blood suppliers, workers and university students are on Tet holiday, leading to a significant decrease in blood supply.

For this particular reason, TRG International collaborated with AmCham CSR Group and Hospital of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (BTH) to organise Blood Donor Campaigns. The New Year Campaign with the message “Spread the love, Donate Blood!” took place at 8am on 26.01.2018 at BTH in Ho Chi Minh City.

Blood donation has long been an annual event of TRG International. The success of this year campaign was mainly due to the unanimous support of TRG members. This is also an opportunity to enhance the spirit of community support and to connect TRG staff together.

Mr. Huu Long, Business Development Dept., TRG International, is excited to participate in this meaningful community activity.

TRG members at the event were very excited to be involved in this meaningful volunteer activity. Some members of TRG stated that this was their first time to participate in the blood donation, the feeling of being able to help and support the community was difficult to express in words. “I have participated in blood donation many times in my hometown, but this is the first time I’ve done it in Vietnam,” said Zaki Vithen, Head of TRG Danish Trainees Group. “Thanks to TRG for providing me not only an opportunity to gain more knowledge and experience but also a chance help those in need.”

Through this event, TRG would like to spread the spirit of "Spread the love, Donate Blood!" to all TRG members, and at the same time encouraging people to join hands to help the community, thereby raising awareness and promoting the core values of TRG.
