"Hello everyone, I am Cindy, and I was an HR intern at TRG International! I am an international intern from Singapore. Yes, you read that right! TRG International is indeed diverse and inclusive, which was one of the reasons why I decided to take that leap of faith and apply for an internship here. From the initial unfamiliarity to the growing reluctance to leave at the end of my internship, you can probably tell that my internship experience at TRG was a great one!

During the internship, I was given different opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills required in the HR field through hands-on experience. For instance, at the start of my internship, I got to join my supervisors to interview intern candidates for various positions. This gave me insights into how the HR team interviews and selects the most suitable candidates. It also gave me an idea of how different roles require not only skill sets but also a bit of uniqueness from individuals.
My supervisor also provided headhunting training, which enabled me to gain a better understanding of the various methods for searching for potential candidates virtually. Thereafter, I had the chance to recruit an intern position on my own (well, with some help from my teammates). I got to experience the entire recruitment process, from posting job adverts on our career site to interviewing potential candidates and offering them the position. It was a wild ride. Not only was I able to hone my interpersonal skills, but I also gained more recruitment knowledge.
I also had the opportunity to take on other tasks, such as meeting and speaking with fellow interns to get an idea of their experience thus far at TRG. If you are wondering, this is actually one of the engagement activities organised by the HR team. During the meeting, we share tasks that we are working on, our experiences with the team and TRG so far, or any feedback to help improve the overall internship program. This provided me with an avenue to voice my opinions and get much-needed support or advice. Thus, in TRG, I can design my own internship experience, which I appreciate and like.
Overall, though it was a short stint at TRG, I managed to gain an insight into a career path I was interested in pursuing. Additionally, I took away valuable experiences that I would not have gotten anywhere else. It was a memorable and eye-opening experience, as I would not have had many opportunities to work with a Vietnam-based team! The diverse and inclusive environment, supportive supervisor and teammates, the various opportunities given to me, and the flexible working hours summed up my unforgettable internship experience at TRG."
