Vietnamese As you may know, PJ's Coffee is part of TRG International, and we are lucky to have many dedicated and talented interns. Recently, one of our Operations Interns at PJ's Coffee, Nguyen Bao Ngan, has just sent us a letter to share her experience.
If you are interested in F&B and are considering undertaking an internship to learn more about this dynamic industry but still have many concerns, Ngan's reflection on her time at PJ's Coffee might shed some light!

"Hello! It's nice to e-meet you! I am Nguyen Bao Ngan, Operations Intern of PJ’s Coffee Vietnam, an F&B brand under the TRG family. I discovered this internship when I came across a recruitment post on the Ybox platform in December 2021.
When it comes to the working environment at TRG International, I was very impressed by the professionalism and the fast-paced environment here.
It took me a couple of days to finally get accustomed to how different software at TRG and PJ's Coffee, plus the communication styles and the hybrid/ Work-from-Anywhere model that TRG employs.
The whole recruitment process was super fast. From sending my application forms to undertaking the pre-hire assessment and interviewing took only five days to complete. That was such a swift process that I have ever experienced.
During my internship, I felt completely satisfied. I was entirely responsible for designing my internship and workloads, so I was able to fit everything into my schedule.
My primary tasks involved taking care of PJ's Marketing. At the beginning, my supervisor gave me simple tasks to allow me to gradually adapt and learn new knowledge, which was slightly disappointed, to be honest. I was expecting something more challenging.
After meetings with the CEO and HR Department, I realised that I could demand what I desired, and I did that. As a result, I was in charge of PJ's Instagram, which I thought was a great way to learn and improve a lot of different skills.
However, my only regret is that I am geographically disadvantaged as I am living in Hanoi while PJ’s Coffee is located in HCM City. Thus, I had to work remotely and have yet to try any of PJ’s signature and seasonal drinks (every TRGer can have as many complimentary drinks from PJ's Coffee as possible). This was one major loss.

In short, all I want to tell you is that this internship is an ideal chance for you to learn and become your better self because you are always encouraged to try as many different things as your heart desires.
Finally, I want to thank Ms. Ly, Mrs. Mai, and everybody at PJ’s Coffee for enabling me to learn and get to know you. Also, I felt grateful to the HR Department for always checking in on me to make sure I could ace my internship. I only wish the best to TRG International and PJ’s Coffee Vietnam.
