In a previous article, we have mentioned the extreme flooding condition multiple cities and provinces in Central Vietnam, particularly Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Nam are facing. Since the article, we were able to raise VND 102 million (roughly US$4,400), more than double our anticipated goal.
The results were only made possible thanks to the generosity of our TRGers, various parties as well as ex-TRGers. We would like to take this chance to express our gratitude and thank you for your kindness and contributions.
A portion of our CSR team left for Hue last Thursday afternoon to proceed with the second step of our plan, which is to distribute the funds and daily essentials to four different towns.
Early morning of 30 November 2020, our team first visited La Van Ha, La Van Thuong towns in Quang Tho commune, Hue. As we were able to raise more than what we expected, we have prepared 200 gift packages to deliver to those in need, paralysed elderly people living alone, families that lost their loved ones due to floods and landslides, and families with members suffered from cerebral palsy, cerebrovascular accident.
Below are some highlights from the trip.

About TRG’s CSR activities
These voluntary activities and charity trips have become a yearly tradition of TRG. Every year, TRG makes sure to reserve funds dedicated to supporting various charitable initiatives and programs across the country. For close to a decade, our CSR team has donated, supported, and visited multiple orphanages, needed families, and unfortunate rural communities suffered from natural disasters.
In recent years, we have switched to a donation matching program, where for every VND that employees contribute, TRG (Trade Union) will match, thus, increasing the value of the gift.
